Lee Wichman
Lee Wichman has been in private practice since 2003. He previously worked for three and a half years in the Adult Outpatient Program at the Counseling Center of Lake View in Chicago. Lee has regularly served as a consultant and administrator for the Group Relations Conference in the Tavistock Tradition held annually at Northwestern University. In addition, he has taught Group Counseling as an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago and has given presentations at universities and community mental health centers on the Tavistock Model and on same-sex sexual identity development. Lee is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Chicago Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology and has completed a fellowship at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis.
Lee has an interest in the challenges impacting the LGBTQ community and in issues of loss and bereavement. He has been active in facilitating support groups for suicide survivors (individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide). Lee particularly enjoys working with artists and performing artists to help them unblock their creativity and reach their full potential.
